In 2012, in addition to our graphics and web work, we shot and edited a commercial for the Doritos "Crash the Superbowl" competition, which went on to win the #1 Ad of the Superbowl on the traditional USA Today Ad-Meter. After being announced as a finalist, the commercial required a promotional website with a lightning-fast turnaround in order to encourage votes from the public in order to be aired. We created a structurally simple but colorful and attention-getting site, viewed by nearly 60,000 visitors. It featured tight social-network integration, with built-in Facebook comments box and Like buttons, live Twitter feed, plus signups for a mailing list with daily updates.
The site at the time contained links to voting sites, driving traffic to partner organizations, and propelled a massive online promotional campaign with the final result that the commercial was aired during the Superbowl.
